Full or half day on the sea in Hurghada?

Updated October 9, 2026 · 6 min read

A white yacht lies beside a sandy island in turquoise water

For a real sea day, the eight-hour three-island yacht is my recommendation; for a free afternoon, the four-hour speedboat is suitable. The yacht brings Orange Bay, Giftun and Magawish, snorkeling and fish lunch into one itinerary. The speedboat focuses on two islands, dolphin watching, water and sun. If you can only invest 2 hours, Royal Seascope gets an underwater observation deck plus a snorkeling stop instead of half a yacht day.

What the extra time actually does

Two hours: sea view without wasting a day of vacation

The Royal Seascope ride is the shortest choice at €18.57 and reaches 4.4 · 5424. You first observe the underwater world behind windows and then you can snorkel yourself. This leaves time for the beach, old town or hotel on the same day. An island is not promised in the description; If you’re expecting sandbank photos, you’re choosing the wrong format.

Four hours: two islands at speedboat speed

The Dolphins and Two Islands Speedboat costs €33.25 and is rated 4.6 · 4085. Snorkeling and sunbathing are part of the experience described, but lunch is not. Four hours is the middle ground for travelers who really want to go out and reach islands but don’t want to spend a full day on a ship.

Open available times for the four-hour boat

Eight hours: either three islands with lunch or six destinations by speedboat

The Three Island Yacht is priced at €44 and 4.7 · 8267. Its long duration fills with three named islands, dolphin watching, snorkeling and a fish lunch. It is the quieter content choice for guests looking for a meal and a full day on board.

Book the full yacht day

The Speed boat trip to six islands, which also lasts 8 hours, sets different accents: Juzur Abū Minqār as a sandbank, dolphin watching, reefs in Giftun National Park and beaches. It costs €40 at 4.7 x 2477. Six islands mean a more targeted process, not automatically six long stays on land.

For whom a whole day is too long

If you’re planning a desert trip in the evening or don’t need a meal on board, there’s little to be said for spending eight hours. Two hours are not enough for named island destinations. The four-hour excursion is bad for anyone looking for a leisurely yacht deck: a speedboat sells movement and compaction.

Our recommendation

For a day of vacation that consciously belongs to the Red Sea, the three-island yacht with lunch wins. If time is short, the four-hour boat is the real half-day tour; You only choose Royal Seascope if the view through underwater windows is part of your wish.
